~ We cooked 2lbs of bacon; some for breakfast tomorrow morning, some for pizza tonight.

~ Chickens have been defrosting in icy water all day and are now tucked in a roast pan in the fridge.

~ Kim got called to work at noon today; she will be home at 9, she'll open her Christmas eve present and put out her stocking.

I started watching 100 Huntley Street tonight and there was a segment about a Canadian obstetrician who is in Uganda "saving mothers" who are risking birth out of hospitals.  *gasp*   They showed a TBA who had a pinard, a dilapidated birth bed, and some medication (pit?) that the doctors was concerned about because it wasn't refrigerated.  They ( Read more... )

Charlotte was chattering today, and each time she started saying "momomom"  I tried to catch it on video.  The first time, I wasn't so successful.

The second time....brief success, but she's a daddy's girl ;-)

We have snow.  There is still grass peeking through and it's not unbearably cold (yet) but I believe winter has arrived.
